KEY POINTS FOR SIZING AND FIT:

  • know you pinch point measurements, this is an easy way of knowing fit, say if you have wider hips and smaller waist, or a larger chest measurement therefore the waist maybe less important.

  • to get a better idea of your preferred fit on specific items measure a piece of clothing that you already own as this will give you a good idea of whether a new vintage purchase is the right one for you.

  • pay attention to descriptions as these will give you an idea of volume and fit also

  • decide if you like items tailored or oversized as you may need to size up or down or pay close attention to your pinch point measurements

  • fabrics can drape (how they fall and skim or cling to the body) differently depending on their weight amd how they have been cut (a satin dress cut on the bias will cling and skim to your body) a fine woven wool may skim and give a better silhouette.

  • know your skin type… how sensitive are you? this can affect which wool fibre you may select, do you prefer lightweight items, items that are cocooning ot have a comforting weight, it makes a difference honest!

  • we aim to describe these, if we have missed something please get in touch : ) we sometimes forget we are human!

  • You May want to work with a stylist to help you with silhouettes and wardrobe edits which will influence how you purchase vintage.

we will edit and add to this as we grow in experience of selling and providing customer service. please get in touch if you have specific requirements that influence how you buy.
