An Iconic Arkana Safari Lounge Chair designed by Maurice Burke, made in Great Britain 1970

These armchairs are a design icon of Midcentury Modern luxury.

They are really comfortable and are a timeless design with variations of these also being produced by Skippers Mobler, Soren Willadsen and Arne Norell for Scanform .

Very well made, they are composed of black lacquered wood legs and chromed metal tubes on which the leather seat and back are fixed by statement rivets which are of the era.

Low armchairs with padded faux-leather, they offer a superb comfort. The backrest reclines and moves to follow the position of your back, as the seat is designed as a sling mounted in a frame.

They are still functional, although well used and would make a great accent in a bedroom or living room as a sattement piece to add some deign edge into your living space.

Very good vintage condition.

A couple of scratches and some light pitting can be found on the metal.

The chrome is in very good condition and the faux leather well preserved with one or two slight traces of use.

The legs have some slight wear and tear which are quickly forgotten once in use.
