Parker Knoll PK945 Andante chair c.1960

A lovely PK945 Andante chair in semi- restored condition.

We have maintained the original sage velvet fabric which has been cleaned and refreshed. the seat pad has new foam added whilst maintaining the original subtle angles and curves.

the legs have been stripped and oiled whilst maintaining the original underside springs and base to maintain character and history.

The legs are in very good condition with just the odd very small marks and some of the original finish on the underside.

only noticeable on very, very close inspection.

A a typical modernist design chair that is all about proportions and minimalism being well suited to modern living and smaller spaces too.

- semi refurbished in order to maintain some design history

- legs have been treated with polymer oil

- the fabric is original with slight marks and wear, overall looks good for age and a minor tear underneath the front seat, noticeable only on very close inspection

- the springs /underside straps are all original too

A future design classic!!
